For the past 30+ years I have worked in the Environmental, Safety, & Health (ES&H) industry as an ES&H professional and consultant in the utility/ energy, agriculture, and construction industries as well as at various DOE facilities. I hold degrees in Environmental/Chemical Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, and an M.S. in Environmental Management. I also hold several certifications in the safety discipline including Certified Safety Professional (CSP). As a result, I have first-hand knowledge of the various chemicals, contaminants, and toxins, their effects on human health and the environment, and their association with the EEOICPA claims process.
I became directly involved with the EEOICPA program in 2001 by helping my father, late uncles, and several East TN families file claims and receive benefits for cancers and other toxin-caused illnesses resulting from contamination while working at various DOE facilities. Prior to 2017, I successfully helped numerous clients obtain benefits, many of whom had previously been denied. In 2017, due to high demand from my colleagues, existing clients, and former DOE workers, I began dedicating my efforts full time as an independent professional advocate for the EEOICPA program.
My goals and ambitions since I started my career in the ES&H field is to help and support the workforce, to keep them safe from toxic chemicals and contaminants, and to help them remain accident free. As an advocate in the EEOICPA process, my goals and ambitions are to support current and former atomic energy/nuclear workers, contractors, and sub-contractors who were potentially exposed or became ill from the working environment while employed at a DOE facility and receive their much-needed benefits.
